Honda India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Honda is all set to launch electric scooters.

Honda, a two-wheeler manufacturer from Japan, manufactures all types of bikes and scooters and sells them successfully in India. However, the company has not yet introduced electric vehicles. As Honda’s competitor Hero already launched and sold electric scooters, Honda was forced to introduce electric scooters.

According to earlier reports, Honda’s first electric scooter is said to feature a non-removable battery. It is likely to be an electric version of the Honda Activa scooter. It is expected to be sold under the name Honda Activa Electric. Also, Honda’s 2nd electric scooter is said to have a removable battery. So instead of waiting for charging, you can charge the standby battery in advance and use that battery.

Honda is working on setting up battery swapping centers at more than 6,000 locations across India to charge two-wheeler batteries.All of Honda’s electric two-wheelers will be manufactured at Honda’s ‘E’ production unit in Narsapura, Karnataka.

By 2030, the plant will have the capacity to produce 10 lakh electric two-wheelers. Honda will convert some of its service centers into Worksop ‘e’ to facilitate servicing of electric two-wheelers. It is to be noted that only Honda electric two wheelers are repaired at these exclusive service centers.  Search Google

Honda is planning to launch these 2 electric scooters in the Indian market within the financial year starting from April 1 and ending on March 31, 2024. Honda e-scooters are expected to hit Indian roads soon
